- Our friends at 826michigan are, as usual, doing some wonderful things for the community. We were delighted to see this recently-launched video featuring many of our favorite robots.
- And here’s what they’re up to in terms of publishing events, workshops, tutoring sessions, and all of the excellent programs that they offer to kids, teachers, and community members.
- Angela Flournoy, author of The Turner House, (have you read it yet?) reads for 826 event Parka Weather, a dinner and reading to benefit 826michigan’s amazing community literacy programs, on February 11th.
(Hooray for Angela Flournoy in Ann Arbor! She’ll be back for the Zell Visiting Writers’ Series at UMMA on February 18th; we’ll be there with a stack of books to sell. And we’re extra lucky to host a conversation between Flournoy and writer Brit Bennett on April 18th at Literati.
- Dave Eggers, founder of 826national, writer, and artist, has prints for sale at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit to benefit the good robots of 826michigan. They’re mostly drawings of very dignified animals making glorious pronouncements.
